Department of Agriculture is a government agency responsible for the promotion of agricultural development by providing framework, public investments, support services and a food secure Philippines with a prosperous farmer and fisherfolk.
 

   
Last January 26, 2021, the Department of Agriculture – Region VI under the Rice Resiliency Program II, delivered 200 bags of hybrid seeds (100 bags of Longping 937 and 100 bags of Habilis Plus) and 556 bags of in-organic fertilizer (urea).  The distribution was scheduled on that day by the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Ma. Luz M. Ferrer to the farmer beneficiaries. They received 2 bags of urea and 18 kilos of hybrid seeds (either Longping or Habilis) per hectare and they will be using the said input during 3rd cropping of 2021. A total of nineteen (19) Farmers Association, five (5) Irrigators Associations and two (2) Farmers Cooperative availed and benefitted by this program of the Department of Agriculture.
