Who: Farmers (Rice & Corn) and Livestock Raiser

Why: 

The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) is currently insuring all RSBSA Farmers (Rice, Corn) for 3rd cropping season, Livestock Raisers with maximum of 10 heads and Fisherfolks with maximum of 3 fishing boats here in the Municipality of Banate. After the farmer insured their rice/corn area, the PCIC required them to file their notice of loss (NOL) 20 days before harvest to give the adjuster the time to visit, validate and the same time adjust the percentage of damage. For Livestock claimant should file Livestock Loss Report, Death Certificate and present pictures or documentation while for Fishing Boat claimant, should file the Notice of Loss within 48 hours after the occurrence of damage and the same time secure pictures of affected /damaged boat, extract of police blotter and copy of Municipal Boat Registration at the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist. 

     

Again, the PCIC released another batch of Farmers with indemnity cheque last March 5, 2021, 9 o’clock in the morning at Banate Municipal Covered Gym. A total amount of Php 1,211,328.00 was distributed to 237 rice farmers, 8 corn farmers and 1 livestock raiser (swine). 

 

Mr. Ronilo Capitanea and Ms. Mabelle Palomo (PCIC Staff) are in-charge of the releasing together with the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Ms. Ma. Luz M. Ferrer (Municipal Agriculturist) and her staff and with Local Farmer Technician (LFT) of Banate.
