The Backyard Fishpond Operators through the helped of the Municipal Agriculture Office requested 10,000 pcs. of Tilapia Fingerlings from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). Last January 27, 2021, at seven (7) o’clock in the morning, Tilapia fingerlings were distributed to nine (9)  backyard fishpond operators of Brgy. Carmelo, Brgy. Dela Paz, Brgy. Bobon, Brgy. Fuentes and Brgy. Libertad who are willing to venture in Tilapia Farming.

Through this assistance from BFAR, the 9 fish farmers  can gain additional income and can provide food support they need especially today where we are facing financial, economic and health problems due to pandemic, COVID-19.
